How to Master Farmville Black Roses?

Posted in Farmville Guide on 28.10.10 by Merlyn

No challenge for the frequenters of farmville who have a ton of neighbours to gift them with a bounty of seeds. Zynga may as well give us the mastery sign for it to begin with

100/200/300 = Total 600 and its mastered, thats 1 round of planting. 8 hours of planting black roses and its mastered.

Yet theres a 17th November deadline. You can have neighbours sending you seeds all the time when these things are mastered right away.

Should of the mastery levels be 1000/2000/3000. 10 rounds for a 600+ plot farm. can be easily done in 3 weeks still.

The Animal Feed Trough Guide

Posted in Farmville Guide on 27.10.10 by Merlyn

With the introduction of Animal Feed Troughs you can now purchase a new building for your Farm that, once full of animal feed, can attract one of a number of atypically available animals which you can adopt for your farm. Once you adopt one, your Feed Trough will need to get filled up again in order to attract another farm animal.

Animal Feed Trough Guide 1

Feeds and Troughs

The next time you log into FarmVille after the update you’ll receive an Animal Trough to place on your farm. If you do not choose to place it now it will go into your Gift Box for placement later. Once you click on the Animal Trough and choose “Look Inside” you’ll see this window:

Animal Feed Trough Guide 2

Next you’ll need to get the Animal Trough filled—it’ll take 20 units of Animal Feed to top off the Trough. You can acquire Animal Feed one of two ways—you can buy it by clicking on the “Buy Feed” button and purchasing Animal Feed one unit at a time for 1 Farm Cash each.

Animal Feed Trough Guide 3

When your neighbors visit your farm, they can click on your Animal Trough to give you one unit of Animal Feed (or, if you visit them, you can click on their Animal Trough and gift them a unit of Animal Feed). If you click on the “Ask For Feed” you’ll be prompted to put a notice up on your Facebook feed asking for more Animal Feed. You can also acquire more Animal Feed through feed posts.

The Animal Feed Trough window shows visually how full your Trough is, and has six mug shots of the animals known to be nearby that may wander onto your farm. Animals will drop out of the rotation eventually and new animals inserted, so the six won’t stay the exact same for long.

The visual state of the Animal Trough changes as it fills up with Animal Feed:

Adopting a new farm animal

Once the Animal Trough is filled with Animal Feed you’ll get this notice:

Animal Feed Trough Guide 5

Sometime in the next day or so an animal will stop by and enter the Animal Trough. You’ll be able to tell by the fact that the light above the building entrance is green, the doors are closed, and the feed has been drained (see comparison image above). If you visit the Animal Trough in time, you will be successful in adopting the animal for your farm (and you’ll have the option to share one with your neighbors):

Animal Feed Trough Guide 6

All of your Animal Feed will be used up and you’ll need to fill your Animal Trough back up again to get another animal.

However, if you wait too long (more than a couple of days), the animal will go away. You’ll see this window instead:

Animal Feed Trough Guide 7

By losing the animal you’ll only lose 2 units of Animal Feed, so you’ll have 18 units instead. The mug shot board in the Animal Trough will reflect which animals you’ve adopted and which still remain to be adopted.

Farmville Beehive Reward

Posted in Farmville Guide on 26.10.10 by Merlyn

The Beehive is a giver, not like the nursery, who took too much space, the hive gives you 600 coins for one foot print, and gives you the fertilizer and polinated seeds, so way better than any useless decoration or any other building actually.

100 XP approximately 3 or 4 times every harvest: sure, I can live without the pollinated seeds themselves but the XP bonus alone is worth keeping the beehive. If I’m planting short term crops, I easily get well over 1000 XP a day from having the beehive.

600 coins every 23 hours = 26 coins per hour. Way better than ANY crop out there that you might decide to plant on the space vacated by your beehive.

Farmville Strategy and Tips

Posted in Farmville Guide on 25.10.10 by Merlyn

Take heart its not a race; and you have to have a strategy, i’ll give you mine for what its worth.I try to maximise all my buildings. Everybody is ranting about the nursery, but with it, i’ve turned, green, pink, and fan calfs into chocolate cows, they pay 80 coins X 40 cows= 3200/ dairy, so keep at it. with several dairy, it count.

Now the coop; i got all the best chickens at 64 X 60= 3840 for one coop.

The stable; well here, i’ve spent FC to get the best horses at 140 coins X 40 =5600 coins.

No decoration, but the best trees gives me 40 000 every 2-3 days
Lots of calfs outside and in every corner beside plots. The calfs gives the most coins of all the one spot animals every day, so no swans or chiken outside the coop, calfs only, cause 80 coins every 23 h.
I have 548 plots , using the peas, 3 XP every 23 h and the best return for your time, fuel and work combine, for me that is; once every 23h is enough, at my age…, and at my level. See the board of the previous message for better crops its good info.

Now with this i bough my first 3 saddleback pig, that i put in the pen, and they give me 3000 coin /day, i’ll keep upgrading my pigs till the pen, 20 pigs at 1000X 20 = 20 000 coin every day. Then i’ll do the cows, one million at a time.

I keep all my decoration in the cellar and when its time and i have all i want i’ll set it up and change according to season, but for now its profit and maximisation.

Strategy….
My 2 cents.

If you can use those below at your level.

1. Forget-Me-Not, 8.889 cph (coins per hour)
2. Oats, 8.75 cph
3. Basil, 8.5 cph
4. Daylilies, 8.438 cph
5. White Grapes, 8.333 cph
6. Carnival Squash, 8.125 cph
7. Peas 7.652 cph
8. Asparagus, 7.625 cph
9. Lemon Balm, 7.5 cph
10. Grapes, 7.391 cph

Farmville Orchard Information

Posted in Farmville Guide on 24.10.10 by Merlyn

I thought the orchard would be a bit like the pig pen. Shove in 20 trees. Since there are several types of apple it seems that you could use the different types. The pig pen let you place different types of pigs.

quote from pod cast.
“You will be able to harvest Orchards once a day for coins with a chance to receive a Mystery Seed. These can grow into any type of tree in your Orchard, and must be planted on watered before they mature into they mature into fully grown, upgraded versions of their parent trees!

My interpretation the mystery seed is a different type of tree than what you have in the orchard. Like the nursery a black foal will grow up to be a black horse but the other LE foals dont. I thought a LE tree might give you a cool new tree. And the only way to get it is by a mystery seed and grow an Enhanced tree.

another quote from podcast
“Enhanced trees will be a part of the Tree Mastery system. You will be able to progress as you harvest Orchards or individual trees, and there will be three levels of mastery with rewards for each level of mastery completion. Level 3 mastery will also grant a unique mastery sign!”

I think it might be kinda like in the crafting cottage new recipe (Enhanced Tree) and you will increase your levels. Not sure what the 3 levels will be. Unless it has to do with crop production/harvest.

How to Get XP Fast on Farmville

Posted in Farmville Guide on 23.10.10 by Merlyn

Master a short term crop – raspberries, blueberries, blackberries etc. Then use a bushel and a fertilise-all for each harvest.

Get all the collectibles you can from the feed.

Grab all the adoptable animals you can, sell them off and use the coins to do the soybean delete (or buy and sell haybales). If you don’t mind parting with your vehicles, you can get a harvester or seeder every time you open a mystery gift. They sell for 1500 coins and you can use the coins as above, but you’ll only get them if you don’t already have a harvester or seeder.

Farmville Spooky Effect

Posted in Farmville Guide on 21.10.10 by Merlyn

Okay, so I just tested it (gambling 2 Farm Cash lol). Once you press “buy” on the Spooky thing, all of the things that can be “Spookified” will be outlined in orange.

You pick whatever thing you want to “Spookify” and click it and it becomes a ghost for an animal, or decorations are covered in cobwebs.

I chose a sheep and “spookified” it and it turned into a ghost. Then when I clicked on the sheep the menu came up and an option was “Clean up Trick.” So I clicked it and it changed back to a normal sheep.

BUT…when I went to click on it again (hoping to be able to change it back to a ghost), there was an option to “spookify.” So I clicked it and it turned the sheep back into a ghost.

So, you can change your animals back and forth between dead and alive all you would like.

My only other question is whether this will be a permanent feature, like the Christmas lights? Meaning, will any animals or decorations that I have chosen to “spookify” be able to change back between alive and dead even after the option to buy it leaves the market? Or will all of the animals and decorations that I have “spookified” just turn back alive when option to purchase it leaves the market, like it was never there at all?

Because I will probably do this to quite a few things if I know that I will be able to use that feature on the things I choose if I know I will be able to change those items back and forth all that I want.

Farmville Rose Will be End Soon

Posted in Farmville Guide on 20.10.10 by Merlyn

Farmville rose will be end soon! Have you mastered it? Personally, I didn’t even try for the Dog Rose mastery because I have not yet mastered Pink Roses. So my opinion below does not have anything to do with whether I completed the mastery or not.

Whether farmville forum or FarmVille’s Facebook fan page had the date in which this crop would end is totally irrelevant to me.

No player should HAVE to go to another website (whether it be a forum or not), to find out information about game play. And that is what players had to do with the Dog Rose mastery. If they did not go to farmville forum or their Facebook fan page, then the player would NOT have known at all when it ended.

The fact of the matter is that Zynga should have placed the date that the crop would end IN THE GAME…period.
